I'm an expert at making mini pizzas, usually in the "pizza bagel" field. This one though, is on a piece of baguette that I split in half, with italian grandma-made marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella, salami and a big piece of tomato. So good!

Assorted Dinners.
So these are a bunch of miscellaneous things. The first is this retardedly nice crabcake appetizer that I shared with my sister in a restaurant inside the Port Authority. It's weird and kind of sad, it was like.. this is the Port Authority, in NYC. It's not a nice place. At all. It's dirty and ugly. I'm fine if there's pizza there, or a Jamba Juice, even two Au Bon Pains. That makes sense. But there should NOT be a restaurant that serves duck confit, escargot or foie gras. My sister and I determinedly got the cheapest things on the menu, a burger for her and some penne with chicken for me. I forgot to take pictures of that though. We felt guilty about this nice restaurant in this ugly place though, so we split a crab cake appetizer. Picture!
The next is some soup I had from a pizza take-out place. Yum!
These last few are from a midnight snack Anthony and I made. That's what's nice about hanging out with a second-generation Italian (slash Portugese). He just happened to have a bunch of freshly made ravioli in his refrigerator, so at 1am we sauteed them up with some butter, garlic, rosemary and olive oil. We ate them with chopsticks while watching 30 Rock. Such a good show, btw.
The Ugly Cupcakes
I sort of haphazardly made cupcakes the other night because I got these silver sprinkles. Then I realized you can't actually eat them, and I don't get why they make sprinkles that you can't eat but I wanted to use them anyway because they're pretty, but I guess I got sort of unhinged after that because I put too much batter in each cup so the whole thing overflowed which was ridiculous and then the icing was too hard because I didn't wait long enough after I'd taken it out of the fridge, and it became this whole big mess. They tasted EXTRAORDINARY, though. Really just.. tops. I sort of love them for their ugliness now.

Popovers!

So these are some pictures of a lovely diner excursion, where I got the roasted veggie wrap, and then the dessert at Les Halles Brasserie, sadly in New York and not Paris, but it's still cool because Anthony Bourdain has something to do with it. It was a tarte aux pommes avec glace vanille. Quite good.
